Linda Longo

Education: Rome, University “La Sapienza” (LL.D., 1979 magna cum laude). Registered Auditor.

Practice Area: Linda provides general counselling to commercial and industrial companies with a special orientation to pharmaceutical and food industry. She is familiar with regulatory matters relating to pharmaceuticals and medical devices. She is a co-opted member of the Legal Affairs Focus Group of MedTech Europe – She acts for corporate clients as statutory auditor and as member of the Surveillance Committee provided by Legislative Decree 231/2001 in companies of the pharma and hotel sector.

She assisted in the contractual negotiations relating to the building of cruise ships in Italian shipyards for one of the world’s leading cruise group and deals with the contractual, corporate and labour law aspects of shipping agencies operating in Italy.

She is a co-opted member of the Legal Focus Group of MedTech Europe.

Linda is in the Board of directors of BioLaw Europe: an association of fourteen European and EFTA law firms specialising in the “life science” area and she actively participates in the work and meetings of the BioLaw Europe group representing the Firm.

She received the distinction of “Highly Recommended Lawyer” for pharmaceutical law regulatory matters in the publication Global Counsel Handsbook, Life Sciences Industry Report 2005, Practical Law Company Ltd. She has been named since 2019 in the  Directory Who’s Who Legal among experienced Life Sciences lawyers in the field of “regulatory” .

Linda is the co-author of the Italian Chapter of “EC Legal Systems. An Introduction Guide” Sheridan & Cameron Butterworth 1992. She contributed to the chapter ITALY of “International Food Law” published by Prospect Media Pty Ltd in 2000, edited by J. Kellam and E. T. Guarino and to the publication “Pharmaceutical Advertising” from the year 2012 to 2017 published by Global Legal Group.

She is the co-author of the chapter Italy of the book “A practical guide to national Competition Rules Across Europe” published by Kluwer Law International, 2007.

She is also the co-author of the chapter Italy of “Getting the Deal Through – Life Sciences 2010” published by Law Business Research Ltd in the 2010.

She contributed to the chapter Italy of the book “The Healthcare Law Review” published by Law business Research, London 2017.
